Jason Van is the Principal of threepercent and is a highly experienced technology executive with very strong commercial acumen.
Jason’s previous experience is with ASX listed Touchcorp Limited (ASX: TCH) in the role of the Head of Technology where he was responsible for creating intellectual property assets, for over 10 years. In parallel to his role in Touchcorp, Jason held the role of the Head of Technology for Afterpay (ASX: AFY), who utilise Touchcorp’s technological platform as the backbone of its operations. Afterpay is also an ASX listed company with market capitalization of over AUD400m.
Additionally, Jason currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Change Up, a Singapore based fintech company, as well as serving on Advisory Boards for Next Address and Omnistream.
Over the past 15 years, Jason pioneered innovative solutions across the financial industry from payment processing and fraud management to eCommerce and Value Added Service systems.
Systems created by Jason and his teams have been subjected to numerous examinations by independent experts, as part of the Due Diligence process during Touchcorp’s and Afterpay’s IPO as well as numerous instances of successful IP patent applications across many technology streams. These have included real-time analytics, insurance provisioning, mobile / web device management and security methods, device and token acquiring methods for credit and debit cards, and many more.
In 2001, Jason co-founded Catalyst Network (now managed as a part of Opportunity International) to create micro-finance loan opportunities for women across India and the Philippines.
Jason has worked and lived in Australia, the United States and United Kingdom in his technology roles and also carries a breadth of experience from operating in Asia and across Europe.
