So how did we end up here?
Our Principal, Jason Van, saw a need to remove complexity in the payment marketplace and to provide systems and services that protect merchants from the growing elements of fraud.
During his career, Jason designed systems that are considered benchmarks in the industry for managing fraud and resilient payments. Those systems have endured the test of time and still continue to outperform other industry systems, with much less effort and cost.
A thing or two was learned along the way.
During his journey, Jason learned that data mattered. He learned that products and services mattered. He learned that not only demographics mattered, but so did psychographic analysis. He’s been ‘big-data’ for a very long time.
Our customers are often the best source of understanding where the problems are but do not necessarily know how to resolve them.
More importantly, we understand our customers hand us their reputation when they employ us to solve one of their largest problems: how to accept payments with as little fraud as possible for the least possible cost, without losing customers as a result.
These are monumental challenges that most find difficult to tackle, because they are.
But with time, persistence, empathy and an eye for detail you can make a start and overcome the monuments. Overcome the challenges. Reduce the costs and exposure.
We started threepercent because we know that there are people who need someone to help them make a start, to help them understand, and to help them make informed choices when it comes to payments and fraud management.
